I called regarding a 2year old microwave which cracked damaging the door and handle

The microwave was installed on June 14, 2022 and broke on June 19, 2024. I called regarding a replacement door and was given $339.99 (with no replacement available and unknown when one would be available) and for a new microwave $248.00. I am appalled, we have always bought Frigidaire products and never had this problem. After speaking with a rep, I asked to speak with a manager and she said they™™d tell me the same thing, I insisted, and she asked that I hold the line and of course the line cut off. I called back and was told my wait would be 19 minutes, no one picked up. I™™m saddened by the treatment I received, but more importantly, the cheaply made product that clearly had a defect.

We have a Fridgedaire over the range microwave and the door is really flimsy. The top part around the handle is cracking off. Who knows how long it will last! We have only been in our newly built home 2 years and there are only two of us at 71 and 56 years. I have never had anything like this happen with any microwave I have owned before!

Surprisingly large cooking area for the size of the cabinet. Works well. Simple operations. Only downside thus far is the very cold LED light for over the stove and a warmer light is not available - looks industrial in an otherwise warm, kitchen environment.

I really love my new Frigidaire microwave. I love the LED light inside the unit and I also love the LED light that lights my stove because I have a over the stove microwave it works great it™™s quiet and I think it™™s just wonderful.

Okay, so in Jan 2024 I go into my local home store and purchase an over the range microwave. The microwave we purchased could not be delivered in time, said it would take an extra week. I'm good with that because I'm thinking they may have to make the microwave since it was ordered in a white finish. Fast-forward to now. After install I try to register my microwave for warranty reasons. I put in the model number but it doesn't exist. It defaults me to another model number. I try that and enter my serial number and it takes it as a model I don't have, weird but true. I look more closely at the info on my microwave and see that it was produced in Sept. 2021. It's Jan 2024, I feel like I have been had, I bought a new microwave that is already 28 months old and it was just installed. This seems wrong to me. At the very least let me know this upfront.

This microwave came with the home we purchased and it works fine. We don't use any of the fancy options - different power levels, etc. - just press the cook time and go. We often use the exhaust fan and under-microwave light and they work great.

It has a lot of features. The LED lights work well and the exhaust fan works very well. I like the 30 and 10 second buttons. I use the 10 second button for rolls all the time. It also heats things up faster than my old one so I needed to adjust. The only reason I gave 3 stars is that it's made in China. I didn't know that.
