Love the freezer, Hate the Customer Service

I purchased my freezer online on the 10th. It was shipped to the installer, who received it o n the 13th. I requested installation on the 20th due to travel plans, and had a LARGE meat order scheduled for delivery on the 21st. I was told the installer would contact me the day before (the 19th). They never did. I called Frigidaire customer service 7 times, and each time was told ™we™™ve emailed the installer, don™™t worry, they will deliver it™. Customer service would not give me the phone number of the installer, but after repeated requests, they did give me the name of the company, who was very hard to track down. When I finally did reach them, I was told that the install company had notified Frigidaire that I was ™not in their service area™. It took more calls to escalate the issue and the freezer was finally delivered on the 23rd. I had to scramble to make temporary storage for over 150 pounds of meat. Frigidaire did refund me an ™inconvenience credit™, but I was still VERY FRUSTRATED that they could not fix the problem when they had plenty of notice.

I am so happy with my new freezer! It is so spacious & with easy access to all items. The door has abundant room for all my small items. It is so quiet with easy to open & close doors. Wish I had bought this sooner!!! Will Most definitely Buy Frigidaire products in the future!!

my first frost free freezer

I run several upright manual defrost freezers in addition to this new Frost-Free unit. I run bluetooth thermometers to monitor all of my freezers. and do see that t during the defrost cycle in the FrostFree, (1-2x per day), there is a spike of ~20 deg.F that is quite short. The sensor is located in the top of the freezer. I believe this is consistent with most frost-free units. Overall quite happy with initial performance (one-month +/-)

This freezer is simply splendid! Plenty of space for organizing different types of frozen goods, great lighting inside, easy to use temperature control, and sturdy shelving! I particularly appreciate the exterior power indicator (green light) that lets me know the freezer is powered on and running. I highly recommend this unit!

Unfortunately I™™ve very disappointed in the new freezer. This is our third freezer and by far the newest one by 5+yrs. I did everything recommended by service tech advice and still having problems. Cleaned the gasket which was brand new and dirt /dust free to begin with. Not held open for long periods of time etc.We do not enter this freezer but once-twice a week. None of the other fridgidare freezers have done this and like I said being the third one purchased in 20 yrs span, I think I know what normal should be. This is not normal and frustrating.

We've only owned the freezer for a week now, so my review is based on limited experience, and I only have positive comments. First, the freezer is roomy and well-lit. The shelves are easy to move. The freezer quickly reached and has maintained the optimum temperature. I prefer these wire shelves over the glass ones available in some models. I was surprised at how easily the freezer moves on its wheels. My old upright freezer was not easy to move. The energy star tag indicates the freezer will use $56 of electricity a year. My old freezer, which was only 16 cubic feet used $85 of electricity a year, so that savings was an added plus.

The repair technician was out today and said that it leaked all the Freon out and it™™s pumping the oil. It sounds like the freezer is gurgling water and the fan has quit working too. He said that Frigidaire is crimping the copper lines and NOT soldering them so they leak out the freon. It™™s been 2 weeks since it broke and now I have no clue when it will be fixed. The technician said he has to order a condenser to repair it. So I™™m sure it will be over a month before it will be repaired. I will never buy another Frigidaire again. I had a dryer burn the wires when it was off. Luckily my daughter was able to call the fire department. The fireman said he seen it happening a lot for this brand. Get a whirlpool!

I cannot speak to the longevity of the product as it is relatively new to us, but I hope with being Frigidaire brand, it will last a long time. This is our first time buying a freezer and I love it. It is SO spacious, I can't imagine ever feeling like we need more space. Happy the door can be installed in either direction, and the green indicator light gives peace of mind. Excited about the money this will save us by allowing us to take full advantage of sales on meats and frozen products.

We have been Frigidaire freezer users for 23 years now and I have to say that I™™m very disappointed in the way they are designed now. Sadly my 23 year old 20 cu ft Frigidaire upright breathed its last breath yesterday and I had to replace it immediately because it was full. While I am thankful it lasted as long as it did because I will NEVER see that kind of life length on any new model, I am thankful I can at least still buy a Frigidaire freezer. Luckily it was my garden veggie freezer so there was no need to panic and our local appliance store had a newer model Frigidaire 20 cu. ft. in stock. Upon receiving it and loading it with everything from the dead model, I was very disappointed with the interior design. The sad excuse for a basket on the bottom barely holds anything and the door shelves aren™™t as deep. My 2017 Frigidaire 20 cu ft model is somehow much MUCH larger and holds way more goods than these new models. (And why don™™t they make THIS model anymore???) So since there is no other option, I guess I need to just be happy with what I got.
